A New Life consists of recycled palm tree sheddings turned into a public vegetal street art installation, using them to animate two trees on my parkway by day and night.
During the painting process, I took pictures of the palm’s sheaths to turn them into an art series. Then, I documented the final installation of the trees to share its visual impact by day and night.
I hope this installation will call attention to our urban forest and its positive impact. One further goal is to increase further art interactions between the street trees and passersby.
